How do I schedule?
We will gladly help you schedule an appointment over the phone by calling 216-777-0345 (Lakewood) or 440-570-0664 (Westlake), or you can use our online booking system. Please note that we DO NOT book appointments through email or Facebook/Instagram messages. Due to the time sensitive nature of our business, we also DO NOT accept cancellations via email or social media messages. You must call the salon or cancel online if you need to cancel your appointment. A credit card is required upon booking to hold your appointment.
What if I'm a new client?
We are happy to welcome you to Stella and Shay Beauty Bar! Please allow a few minutes to park, especially at the Lakewood location as there is only street parking. If you've never been in, please stop in and say hi! We'd love to show you around!
How do I pay my beauty bar tab?
We accept plastic (Visa, Discover, MasterCard, American Express) and cash. No personal checks, please. We greatly appreciate your tips in cash.
Where do I park?
Please read signage if you choose to park in a lot. There are many lots that require a parking pass, and are NOT public parking. Stella & Shay does not have a parking lot and relies on street parking at the Lakewood location. There is un-metered parking along Detroit on both sides of the street. You can also park on neighboring side streets, including Maile and Phelps. At the Westlake location, you are welcome to park anywhere within the Williamsburg Square plaza parking lot.
Do you sell gift cards?
Yes! We sell gift cards for both locations – you can purchase them in person at both salons, over the phone, or online. To purchase online, please click here. We are happy to ship your gift card to you or the recipient of your choice. Please note that we do not replace or honor lost or stolen gift cards.
Do you offer bridal or group packages?
We sure do! Please call us or email hellostellabrides@gmail.com to inquire about pricing and services! Private parties also available. We begin booking nail parties in January for the calendar year. Group policies to note:
• All large parties (four or more) must abide by a 72 hour cancellation policy. This includes the cancellation of the entire party, a portion of the party, or change in service. We require this due to the demand of services and for consistency with stylist schedules
• A 20% gratuity is automatically added to each service for all large parties (four or more)
• We require a credit card number and a signature to reserve your party
• If any cancellations are made outside of the 72 hour cancellation policy, 50% of the cancelled service will be charged to the credit card we have on file
• The main contact/coordinator is responsible for any and all cancellation fees associated with their party, unless each guest provides a credit card number to hold their individual service
• Brides are typically put with a Level 2 Nail Technician, prices will vary
Cancellations
As of Jan 1, 2022 our cancellation policy is as follows: Same day cancellations result in a 50% charge. We do require a 24 hour notice when canceling however ANY cancellation made DAY OF APPOINTMENT will result in a 50% charge. No show appointments will be charged 100% of service fee.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds on any completed services or products. We offer exchanges on products that are unopened within 10 days of purchase date.
No Shows
This bar doesn't have bouncers, but we do have the right to cut you off after 2 no-show appointments or late cancellations.
Late to the Party
We reserve the right to reschedule your appointment if you are 15 minutes late. We try to accommodate everyone, but we try our best to stay on schedule for all of our clients.
Pricing
All of our hair services have "starts at" pricing. If you would like to know the exact price of your service, we recommend scheduling a consultation with one of our stylists. Services are subject to price adjustment based on time, length of hair, and products used.
Kids
You love your children, we love your children, but please do not bring children to the salon unless they have their own individual reservation. We want you to relax along with the people around you. Let us give you some you time, you deserve it. Our kids pricing is for children 12 and under – sorry, no exceptions!
Nail Policies
Please note that we are a natural nail salon, and do not service acrylic nails (this includes dip polish). French polish, structure gel and nail art incurs an additional charge. Removal of gel that has been applied by another salon incurs an additional charge. Any nail fix outside of time frame listed below by type of service incurs an additional charge as follows:
Apres Gel Extensions: 1 week/$7 per nail
Gel Manicures / Gin & Gel: 1 week/$3 per nail
Gel Swap / Mini Bar Gel: 5 days/$3 per nail
Old Fashioned Mani: 3 days/$3 per nail
